This is a nice tri-fold brochure that is only aviable in pdf format, giving 38 reasons why the Reina Valera 1960 should not be used.
This is a chart with 220 verses that are compared between the King James Bible, the Reina Valera 1989, the Reina Valera 1960, the Reina Valera 1909, and the Reina Valera Gomez. The PDF file has text formatting highlighting the differences. This is not included in the web page version. Continue reading “220 Verse Compared”

MY OPINION ABOUT OUR CRITICS
By Dr. Humberto Gómez
Many have asked me, why don’t you respond to your critics?
1. Our critics have a right to express their opinions.
“The clash of ideas is the sound of liberty” I may be 100% in disagreement with all they say or write; yet I would give my life to defend the right they have to express their ideas and their opposition to our work. Even if they exceed the lines of decorum, it is far better to let them speak up, than to try to silence them. I am a firm believer in the freedom of speech. No More Excuses
By Joseph Martinez
“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him come unto me.” (Exodus 32:26a)
This question that Moses asked the Israelites must now be asked to all the Bible-believing people in our day in regard to the Spanish Bible issue. For the Spanish speaking world our God has provided for us in majestic Castilian Spanish the TR -based revision of the Reina Valera 1909 – the Reina Valera Gomez or RVG . Since the first edition came off the presses in 2004, this Bible has caused a sensation among many people, both Spanish speakers and English speaking missionaries to the Hispanics. It has undergone several revisions since its debut, each time improving the text, and lining it up beautifully with the TR and the King James Version. For those of us who longed and prayed for a Spanish Bible that would be faithful to the God -honored TR, as well as to the beloved King James (or Authorized Version), that time has come! Allow me to share with you three reasons why all bible-believing Christians should share the responsibility to stand for and promote the Reina Valera Gomez Bible.
The first and most important reason is because of the purity of the RVG as compared with bibles containing corrupt, critical-text material. The sinlessness, work ,and Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, along with vital doctrines such the virgin birth, salvation by grace, sanctification, separation, hell, etc. are all upheld, and God is thereby glorified. Bibles containing critical text poison and having changes and omissions which attack our fundamental doctrines do not glorify God, cannot be trusted and must be rejected.
Second, the availability of the RVG. Even though it is copyrighted, one still has the permission to print it for its free distribution; and the copyright’s purpose is to protect the text from the filthy paws of the bible corrupters. All the monies from the sales of leather-bound bibles are promptly and only used for the costs of future RVG printings. This should be the biblical (and main) method to propagate the Scriptures, that is, through the “priesthood of the believer” printers that God provides in His local churches. This divine safeguard enables us to bypass modernistic, corrupt Bible societies. Brethren, we do not have to bow down before the idol calf of liberalism!
Third, the Spanish speaking Christians are now “without excuse” in their choice for a pure copy of the Word of God. For many years the only choice for the Bible in Spanish was the RV1909 and the RV1960 both of which have been watered down and mutilated by modernistic translators, (the RV 1960 especially). Now in the RVG we have a Spanish Bible revised by dozens of Spanish speaking men of God led by Brother Humberto Gomez. Of course, there were several English speaking brethren fluent in several languages such as Dr. D.A. Waite, Dr. Rex Cobb, and Bro. Carlos Donate involved in this project. These men and many others involved have a great love and reverence for the pure words of God in any language.
The bottom line is there is now a pure Bible in Spanish available to all, and there is now no excuse!
For God’s pure Words,
Missionary to Hispanics

Dear Dr. Roland,
Greetings in the name of our Lord.
Due to what your general secretary, Mr. Greendyk, has recently written about us and our Bible, there are some people spreading around (parroting) not the positive but the negative of what he wrote. (Perhaps this was his intention.) Unfortunately, I feel obligated to write this letter to you. Through this open letter I would like to communicate to you my disappointment with the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS).

Over the last several months I have received a number of questions about why I support the Reina Valera Gomez Bible—the new Spanish translation coordinated by Humberto Gomez. I have also received several written criticisms of his work and have been asked to respond to them. The following is a summary of some key points on the subject.
I Support the RVG Because of Its Base Text

The subject of which Spanish Bible to use is a theme that many are very passionate about and it has brought great controversy to the Fundamental Spanish world. However I believe the time of reconciliation has arrived.

I believe that by now most of you are interested and concerned about this issue.
All our Bibles in Spanish have textual problems, some more than others. Unfortunately most of our Spanish preacher friends are in denial concerning the several mistakes that we have in our Spanish Bibles. One of the reasons why they are in denial is because they feel that they have been insulted and attacked, and in some instances they are right. Continue reading “The Spanish Bible Issue – Dr. Gomez”
